Greatest and most interesting pre-Hayes code films (December 2019)
These films came at a time, believe it or not, believe censorship kicked in to a crazy degree in Hollywood. Films were a lot more realistic in those times and were much more willing to tackle complicated subject matter. Later on, all sorts of rules were put in such as not even allowing a married couple to be allowed to be shown sleeping in the same bed. It was ludicrous. This was the very early 30's.
