Bette Davis is one of the greatest actresses of all time, of any era. She was strong and fearless. She was never afraid of looking silly, mean or negative. She was a fantastic role model for anyone. She stood toe to toe with best of all time.
Greatest Vivien Leigh Films (April, 2018)
Vivien Leigh was a great star and a fantastic actress. Her partnership with husband, Laurence Olivier was also legendary. She was a real hero in many ways. She passed away way too soon. She is an icon as well. She won two Oscars. Scarlet O'Hara is one of the greatest roles in the history of cinema, in my opionon.
Greatest Claude Rains Films (April 2018)
Claude Rains was a very solid and classy actor. He usually wasn't a leading man, but he starred in many great films with other greats. I had forgotten he was even in some of these, to be honest.
Greatest Akira Kurosawa Films (April 2018)
Kurosawa is a legend of cinema. He has had a profound influence across the board. His films have directly influenced everything from Spaghetti Westerns to Star Wars. Some of his films are influenced by Shakespere's plays such as Macbeth and King Lear. These are his best. I will add that I acknowledge that three of his best are not yet ranked here because I had not yet seen them at the time. These being; High and Low, The Bad Sleep Well and Red Beard. I may make an addendum to this list once I have seen all three. I believe that they will deserve a place, based on their reputation.
