There was a time when some of the biggest artists in music would release original Christmas pop songs around Christmas time. This was mainly in the seventies and eighties and largely in the UK. Christmas number one was a very big deal. Times have changed a lot, but each year, we are encouraged to get into the Christmas spirit when we hear these songs playing.
