I would like to say that I know that there are some omissions on this list of a number of the greatest directors of all time, but I wrote this list some time ago. I may do an additional list of directors that I omitted. 

These are the greatest directors of all time.The most influential. They are artists who have impacted the lives of so many. The ones further at the top are the best of the best. It is based on volume, impact and quality of work, but is very subjective.
