Biggest New Wave Songs

These are the biggest new wave songs. New wave, of course, was a major force in the eighties. It grew out of punk, but also had some synth elements as well. New wave was also known for big hair and makeup. These are some of greatest single of all time. Of course, music videos were very important to the success of these acts as well. Many of these acts originated in the UK as well. Some bands I have not include The Police, Billy Idol, INXS, Cyndi Lauper, Madness and Blondie, though sometimes associated with the new wave.  You will also notice that a good number of these acts are one hit wonders as well. That was kind of the nature of things at that time.
