Greatest Nightmare on Elm Street Characters

Greatest Nightmare on Elm Street characters (Other than Freddy) (August 2014)

Apart from Freddy himself, there have been a lot of memorable characters in the Nightmare on Elm Street films. Although, it is true that a lot of the characters were just meant to be generic teens or stereotypical horror film characters who were there just to be killed, this was especially true in the later films, some of the characters were memorable, funny and even poignant in their own way.

Greatest Doors songs

The Greatest Doors songs (August 2014)

The Doors were one of the greatest and most revolutionary bands of all time. Their songs are some of the greatest in the history of rock. They were brave beyond belief. The content of their music and lyrics was challenging in ways that very few bands could ever really touch. Jim is a hero. He always will be. His songwriting and his performance style were like no other. The band was way more than just Jim though. Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore are three of the best at their respective instruments of all time. Artists also owe Jim a debt for fighting for freedom of expression. Jim passed away at a young age, but his words and music live on forever.

Greatest Twilight Zone episodes

Greatest Twilight Zone Episodes (August 2014)

The Twilight Zone was one of the greatest television shows of all time. It was groundbreaking in so many ways. It always had a message at its heart. It could be funny and thought provoking, but it was also genuinely terrifying and not just for the time. There are some episodes that are still terrifying today, just as scary as any film. Some of the episodes were worthy of Hitchcock. They were well written, amazingly filmed and had some of the greatest actors and actresses of all time. It is still worth a watch. There will be a lot of debate at the top of the list, but that is not always a bad thing. Enjoy. Also, keep in mind this list was created in 2014, so there will have been changes since that time.

Greatest Weird Al Yankovic songs up to July 2014 (July 2014)

Weird Al is one of the greatest artists of all time in his own right. When I was a child I had every one of his albums and played them over and over again. There is more to his music than the silliest. He is actually a genius and many of the songs and videos are truly inspired. He is also one of the most genuinely funny people in the world. He is one of the most influential artists for me even those his songs are comedic. Yes I know there are some notable omissions. I made a second list later on to correct this. Greatest Female Wrestlers up to June 2014

Greatest Female Wrestlers up to June 2014

Women's wrestling has changed a lot since I made this list. It has grown by leaps and bounds.  There are later lists recognizing this that I made. Women's wrestling has grown into the genuine main event at times. It has a way to go, but the change has been massive. This list does not endorse any of the women on this list. A few have done really questionable things that I will not defend. Obviously, it only includes there accomplishments up to that point in 2014. Paige had just debuted on the main roster. I will point out that it is only really main stream American wrestling I am accounting for here. GLOW does not come up on this list either. Again, that is a different list.

Greatest Tag Teams who never won a championship in WWE and WCW

Greatest Tag Teams who never won a championship in WWE and WCW (May 2014)

It is surprising that these teams were never champions. For many of them it was due to the fact that the tag team division at the time was the strongest of all time. It just goes to show how deep the tag team roster and the roster in general was in those days. A stark contrast to what we have now.

Greatest wrestlers who were never world champion

Top ten wrestlers who should have been world champion (May 2014)

This is a list of the top ten wrestlers to never win the world championship. I am counting the WWE, WCW/NWA and AWA championships as world championships. I am not counting ECW or TNA impact. I also am not counting that brief period when there was the WCW International title, a second championship in WCW/NWA at the time. It is shocking Roddy Piper was never champion. When I was younger, I assumed that he did this purposely and never wanted to be champion for some reason. I mean he beat Hogan in WCW several times when he was champion on pay per view but never won the title. Guys like Curt Hennig and Jerry Lawler were AWA champions.

10. Paul Orndorff
9. Killer Kowalski

The Ultimate Warrior's greatest opponents

The Ultimate Warrior's greatest opponents (April 2014)

The Ultimate Warrior was someone who lots of people like to say negative things about, but when he was at his peek, when I was a childhood at the peek of my fandom, he was amazing. Yes, he was not the greatest in the ring, but he was larger than life and he was extremely popular. These are his greatest opponents.

8. Papa Shango
7. Honky Tonk Man

Greatest Giallo films

Greatest Giallo films of all time (March 2014)

Giallo films got their name because they are inspired by murder mystery novels that had yellow covers in Italy. They are Italian murder mystery films. They follow a similar format most of the time. There is a murder that is committed. The murderer is unknown. They usually cover their faces. Everything has been used from clothes, to motorcycle helmets to masks. They usually make threatening phone calls in hushed tones. The murders are usually committed with sharp objects such as daggers, knives, ice picks, razors or scissors. They are usually brutal murders. There is usually set piece murder scenes involving elaborate deaths.. The blood and gore is usually a lurid unrealistically garish color. In most of the films there is a protagonist either a friend or family member of a victim, a reporter, a detective, a witness or a wrongly accused suspect who has to investigate to discover who the murderer is before they are murdered themselves. These films were originated and perfected by Mario Bava. They were popularized  by Dario Argento. There were then hundreds of copycats made to various effect. Giallo films also have some of the best titles ever. You will notice that there are certain stars that pop up repeatedly as well as directors in these films.

Greatest Federico Fellini films

Greatest Federico Fellini films (February 2014)

Fellini was one of the greatest directors of all time. He produced some of the greatest films ever made. Whether it was his neo-realist films or his surrealist later works. I can't think of another director who was able to convey his personal experiences and feelings through the medium of cinema in quite the same way that he did. The best of his films rival the greatest directors of all time.
